How to properly care for your candle
To ensure you have the best possible experience with our candles, please follow the tips below:
1. The first time you burn your candle, be sure to let it burn so that the wax pool (melted wax) reaches the edges of the vessel. Wax has a memory and if the candle is extinguished before the melt pool reaches the edges, it will be difficult for the candle to burn properly later. If your candle does start to tunnel, extinguish the flame, wait until the wax has cooled and scrape away the built up wax with a spoon to re-create a level surface before re-lighting.
2. Always burn your candle within sight, and burn on a level, heat safe surface. Do not move or touch the candle while hot.
3. Before re-lighting your candle, be sure to trim the wick, including any “mushroom” that has formed. Trimming the wick will ensure a controlled flame, reduce soot, and help your candle to last longer.
4. Stop burning your candle when 1/2" of wax remains. When your candle is done, you can either scoop out the remaining wax and wick with a spoon, place in the freezer to harden and scoop out, or place the candle in hot water until the wax melts.
