This trimmer is perfect for trimming your wicks in between burns. When a candle is burned, carbon builds up on the wick. If you continue to light the wick without trimming it, the flame will get bigger, produce more soot, and will burn hotter and faster. For this reason, it is essential to trim your candle wick to 1/4" before each burn.
